DPRK Football Team to Take Part in Asian Regional Qualifier for 31st Olympiad

| Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- The women's football team of the DPRK will attend the Asian regional qualifier for the 31st Olympiad to be held in Japan from February 29 to March 9. Six teams will compete with each other in league matches and only two winners can sing their national anthems on behalf of Asia in the football tournament of the Olympiad to be open in August. Experts and fans say the DPRK team will gain "admission" to the Olympiad in the regional qualifier. The team took five consecutive wins during 2012-2015 international games, including the 17th Asian Games and two rounds of EAFF Women's East Asia Cup, with 15 wins and 2 draws in 17 matches. The DPRK team took part in the 29th and 30th Olympic Games. |
