In the morning of that day, the police authorities arrested the manager of a Korean trading company on charges of the violation of the "law on foreign exchange" on the charge that he illegally exported garment, foodstuffs and sundry goods for daily use to the DPRK through Singapore in 2014.

In connection with this case, they hurled more than 50 investigators into search operations against the Tokyo Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chongryon in the Korean Commercial Workers Hall and the Office of the Federation of Joint Economic Venture of Korean Residents in Japan for four hours and thirty minutes.

This is serious politically-motivated terrorism to infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK, put pressure upon officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan and obliterate Chongryon at any cost as part of the sanctions slapped by the Abe regime against the DPRK and Chongryon.

The Chongryon Central Standing Committee held an emergency meeting and dispatched officials of the committee to the Federation of Joint Economic Venture of Korean Residents in Japan and the Korean Commercial Workers Hall in order to take steps against the search operations.

The committee declared that it would carry on protest actions against the Japanese police authorities' unreasonable politically-motivated crackdown.
