The statement said that Kim Jong Il was a distinguished statesman who made a great contribution to the development of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations. It went on:

We support the Juche idea, Songun idea founded and developed in depth by the great leaders of the DPRK.

We express solidarity with the Korean people registering such great achievements as the successful launch of earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4.

We pay the highest tribute to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and extend the greatest glory to Marshal Kim Jong Un who defended peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region and indicated the road of victory of socialism.
