Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, noted this in a statement on Feb. 8.

The imperialists are criticizing the launch though it is the legitimate right of a sovereign state to explore space for peaceful purposes, the statement said, adding:

The successful satellite launch is giving fresh confidence and courage to the world progressive communist and workers' parties aspiring after socialism.

The Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania and all the members of the party pay the highest regards to First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Un and warmly congratulate the scientists and people of the DPRK.

The heroic Korean people bravely fighting against formidable imperialist forces will always emerge victorious.
