Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says that such event is a despicable farce in which a handful of the Japanese reactionaries get together to assert that Tok Islets are part of the territory of Japan.

The commentary goes on:

However desperately Japan may resort to such a ridiculous farce claiming "its dominium over Tok Islets," the islets which are part of the inviolable territory of Korea can never belong to Japan.

The Japanese reactionaries' moves only arouse criticism and ridicules from the world people and prove that Japan is indeed a very shameful country.

The 40th notice of Shimane Prefecture touted by Japan is little short of a dead paper not known much to the world.

Japan annually holds an event for observing the "Takeshima (Tok Islets) Day" after secretly faking up the 40th "notice of Shimane Prefecture." It is aimed to create the international climate favorable for usurping Tok Islets with arms in the future while building up the world public opinion that the islets are part of Japan's territory.

The present times do not allow those countries hell-bent on usurping the land and invading other countries such as Japan to go at will.

The Japanese reactionaries should properly face up to the prevailing times.
