Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an article terms this an extremely serious politically-motivated provocation and the height of hostile acts against the DPRK.

The crucial statement issued by the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army reflects the firm stand and will of all service personnel and people of the DPRK to mercilessly punish those who try to get the sun eclipsed, no matter who they are and where they are, the article says, and goes on:

The south Korean puppet forces will have to pay a very high price for its high treason to get the sun eclipsed and bring down the social system in the DPRK.

The same is true of the U.S. If the U.S. persists in its foolish military actions, failing to come to its senses despite the DPRK's warnings, the Korean-style striking operation which has been in the making for several decades for the final battle will be an unimaginable retaliation war and reduce bases for aggression in the Asia-Pacific region and the U.S. mainland to ashes.

The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it calculates its mainland will be safe.

Steadfast is the faith of all service personnel and people to turn out as one in the confrontation with the U.S. imperialists and settle accounts with them.

The U.S. should choose between two options. One is to face the DPRK's merciless punishment and another is to make an apology for its wrongdoings, though belatedly, and bridge over the crisis.
