Organization of Disabled in S. Korea Demands Guarantee of Human Rights

| Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Abolition of Discrimination against the Disabled for General Elections of south Korea, which groups over 150 organizations of the disabled, demanded the guarantee of human rights at the news conference in Seoul on Feb. 23 according to MBC of south Korea. The organization denounced "the government" and local autonomous bodies for shunning the issue of providing living conditions to the disabled. It stressed that every political party and candidate should make commitments to institute a law in favor of human rights of the disabled and shape a budget for their welfare in the coming general election. It demanded that they be given the right to vote, in particular. |
