Youth Movement Museum Draws Many Visitors

Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- The Youth Movement Museum is visited by an endless stream of service personal, people from all walks of life and school youth and children. It was built on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League. Nearly 20,000 people have visited the museum in one month since it was opened on Jan. 21, 2016. The museum is located in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang. It serves as a base for ideological education as it tells about the idea of the youth movement of the Workers' Party of Korea and its leadership feats. Standing in the main lobby are statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il among school youth and children. The rooms are arranged according to the annals of the Korean revolution. Displayed there are photos of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who performed feats in the development of the Juche-oriented youth movement, historic materials and mementoes. The visit to the museum helps visitors keenly realize that the Korean youth movement is the glorious youth movement of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il which was started and has grown stronger under their care. |
