The meeting discussed the issues of thoroughly carrying out the instruction given by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his New Year message to channel great efforts into national education and arousing the whole organization and all compatriots to turn out as one in the struggle to defend and further develop national education this year marking the 70th anniversary of the enforcement of the secondary education and the 60th founding anniversary of Korean University.

Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), said in his speech that the Japanese authorities are desperately working to disturb national education, directing the spearhead of suppression of Chongryon to it, underscoring the need to decisively stand up against the moves of the reactionaries inside and outside Japan to discriminate against the Korean schools through a movement for supporting them with the efforts of broad strata of Koreans.

A meeting of principals of schools at all levels took place at the hall on Wednesday.
