Progress Made in Land and Marine Transport of DPRK
Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- Workers in the land and marine transport field of the DPRK are making achievements through the ongoing 70-day campaign.

On the 23rd and 24th of this month the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport carried out its plan on all indices at 107 percent.

According to Song Jong Chol, department director of the Ministry, it set its monthly and daily campaign goals in a workable and concrete way, concentrating efforts on their materialization.

The Ministry has planned to considerably increase the transit volume at trade ports and freightage by ships and trucks and, at the same time, consolidate the material and technical foundations of ports, barrage offices and dockyards in the country.

Meanwhile, a brisk drive was launched to make an innovation in the construction of cargo and passenger ships and pilot boats, harbor crane installation and bus production.
