Displayed at the venue were photos documenting his revolutionary career, and books and photos introducing the spirit of the servicepersons and people of the DPRK.

Participants in the film show watched a Korean film dealing with the DPRK's successful launch of earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4.

Present there were personages of political parties and organizations including the New Communist Party of Britain, the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) and the Coordinating Committee of the British Friends of the DPRK and masses, the DPRK ambassador to UK and staff members of his embassy.

Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, said Kim Jong Il foiled the imperialists' offensive to stifle the DPRK and turned it into a nuclear weapons state and satellite manufacturer and launcher.

Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, praised Kim Jong Il as a distinguished great man as he developed the Songun idea in depth in the days when the confrontation between socialism and imperialism festered, and worked heart and soul for the reunification of Korea and world revolution.

Michael Chant, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), noted all the achievements the Korean people made in the confrontation with the U.S. and development of science and technology would be unthinkable without the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
