Peter Woods, co-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, was elected adviser to the preparatory committee, Don Borrie, supporter of the New Zealand-DPRK Society, and Neil Fitzgerald, national chairman of the Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture, co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful events on the occasion of the meeting.
