The successful satellite launch is a victory of the Korean people and an indication of abilities of scientists and technicians of the DPRK, the statement said, and went on:

We denounce the U.S.-led imperialist forces for their racket over the above-said satellite launch.

We condemn the imperialist forces for threatening the DPRK while branding the satellite launch as a "weapon test" even though the DPRK clarified the launch is for peaceful purposes.

It is the U.S. that posed a military threat to the DPRK while running amuck to ignite a war.

The DPRK has a legitimate and just right to launch a satellite as an independent state.

The anti-imperialist peace-loving people of the world send solidarity to the efforts of the DPRK and its people to build their own strength.
