The Feb. 16th issue of the Thai newspaper Xing San Daily in an article titled "Ushering in fresh era of independent reunification" said that Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il devoted all his efforts to the accomplishment of the reunification cause of the Korean nation.

On the same day a Venezuelan newspaper said in an article titled "Whole life for future" that Kim Jong Il's career is the one in which he firmly adhered to the principle of attaching more importance to the future than today. It noted that his outstanding trait as a great man can be found in the fact that he made an arduous journey for bringing earlier the rosy future.

The Feb. 17th issue of the Kuwaiti newspaper Kuwait Times praised the exploits of Kim Jong Il who was possessed of matchless pluck and iron will and firmly defended the country's sovereignty and dignity and socialism with his invincible Songun politics.

The Feb. 12th issue of the Ugandan newspaper Sun Rise in an article titled "Attraction" dealt with the memoirs of prominent figures such as Dmitri Yazov, former minister of Defence of the Soviet Union, who was attracted by the greatness of Kim Jong Il, illustrious commander possessed of outstanding wisdom and military stratagem, after meeting him.
