23 years since the publication of the work are a glorious period in which Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses has grown to be an invincible fortress and is cherished by the Korean people as their life and soul.

The imperialists have become ever more undisguised in their moves to isolate and suffocate Korean-style socialism and make it degenerate and unstable and a danger of war has always persisted in this land.

Even under the difficult situation where the people had to tighten their belts more than ever before, the socialist system of the DPRK has always protected their destiny, being responsible for it, and popular policies of the Workers' Party of Korea and state have been invariably enforced.

All service personnel and people have cherished the immutable truth that there are eternal happiness and bright future when they firmly preserve and consolidate socialism of Juche provided and glorified by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Socialism always remains the eternal ideal of mankind and the irresistible trend of the times. Socialism will always stay just as the people will always live on this land. Socialism is sure to always triumph just as they will always emerge victorious.
