Kim Jong Il's Exploits Lauded by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers dedicated special write-ups to the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Feb. 14th issue of the Syrian newspaper Tishrin in an article illustrated with his photo lauded him as the outstanding thinker and theoretician and peerlessly great man who developed in depth the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung and performed great exploits in building a socialist state centered on the popular masses and strengthening the Korean People's Army.

The Feb. 12th issue of the Zimbabwean newspaper Herald said in an article titled "Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il and world peace" illustrated with his photo:

Even after the Korean war, the fiercest one fought in the wake of the Second World War, a touch and go situation frequently prevailed in the Korean Peninsula.

It was none other than Kim Jong Il who firmly ensured peace and security in the peninsula directly linked with the vital matter of humankind.

He shattered every military provocation and move of the U.S. for aggression with his matchless grit and pluck.

His exploits will go down in history as he beat back the imperialists' invasion, high-handed and arbitrary practices rampant in the world by pursuing the invincible Songun politics and thus ensured world peace and security.

The Mozambican newspaper Noticias carried an article titled "The Korean people extend glory to Comrade Kim Jong Il" on Feb. 10.
