March 2 is observed as the tree-planting day in the DPRK.

The tree-planting day is a significant day which tells the noble lives of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who worked heart and soul to turn the country into a land of bliss, paradise for the people.

The mountains and fields of the country are associated with the feats performed by the President in land administration and the patriotic devotion of Kim Jong Il.

A new history of great changes is unfolding in the field of forestry thanks to the steadfast determination and will of the WPK to turn all mountains into thickly wooded mountains of treasures and gold, true to the intention of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The paper calls upon all party members, working people, service personnel and youth and students to turn out as one in the forest restoration campaign this year and work hard out of patriotism.
