Railway Transportation Schedule Over-fulfilled in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The 70-day campaign was launched in the DPRK from Feb. 23 to greet the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with unprecedented labor achievements. As part of the campaign, employees in the field of railway transportation have over-fulfilled their daily schedule.

The Ministry of Railways is properly carrying on the organization and control of transport on the basis of detailed data on the running of freight cars and cargos at stations.

The Pyongyang Railway Bureau is paying primary attention to transporting cargo necessary for important projects through concentrated transportation.

The Hamhung and Rason railway bureaus, in particular, have carried out their transport schedules at 108.2 percent and 104.4 percent on a daily average. The same is true of the Chongjin and Kaechon railway bureaus.

The achievements made in railway transportation greatly encourage the working people in other fields of national economy who turned out in the campaign.
