Project of Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station Progresses Apace
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The construction of Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 3 has been pushed forward in the DPRK.

From the outset of the 70-day campaign, the fulfillment of daily construction plan grew 1.5 times.

As of March 2, concrete tamping for core wall was completed at 74.8 percent, dam building at 50 percent, tamping for substructure of generator room at 85 percent and drain excavation at 75 percent.

Remarkable successes have also been witnessed at relevant units.

The Chollima Steel Complex, Kyongsong Insulator Factory and Sangwon and Sunchon cement complexes fulfilled their quotas on the project.

For the past nine days since the start of the 70-day campaign, the production and assembly of equipment like turbine and transformer reached 98 percent, up 23 percent from 75 percent before the campaign, at the Taean Heavy Machine Complex.

The same is true of the Ranam Coal-mining Machine Complex and the Chongjin Metal Construction Complex.
