According to data available, textile mills and knitwear and shoe factories have carried out their production plan 1.1 times, 3.2 times and 2.5 times respectively on all indices.

Typical of them are the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill, the Kusong Textile Mill, the September Textile Mill and the Hamhung Woolen Mill which are taking the lead in the campaign by increasing the production of cotton yarn and cloth 1.5 times through a multi-spindle, multi-loom tending movement.

Increased production has also been witnessed at the Songyo Knitwear Factory, the Pyongyang Children's Knitted Goods Factory, the Kanggye Knitwear Factory, the Hamhung Knitwear Factory and other knitwear factories across the country.

And the work to introduce technical innovations has been steadily carried on to develop world-competitive famous products and goods at those mills and factories.

Meanwhile, the Wonsan Shoes Factory, Ryuwon Shoes Factory, Pyongyang Leather Shoes Factory and other shoes factories have made big strides in keeping the production going on a high level and producing shoes diverse and smart in shapes and light in weight.
