Saying that the Japanese government's sanctions against the DPRK should be immediately lifted, the statement noted:

What the DPRK launched is clearly a satellite as recognized by everyone.

Satellite launch is the legitimate right of all sovereign states.

Therefore, it is utterly unreasonable for the Japanese government to criticize the DPRK's satellite launch, terming it a "missile test-fire".

The Japanese government is countering the DPRK's peaceful space development by force of arms.

Sanctions and military step will never help ensure peace in the Korean Peninsula and improve the Japan-DPRK relations.

Dialogue and sanctions can never go together.

As we want the earlier normalization of the Japan-DPRK relations, we urge the government to immediately retract its sanctions plan but opt for a sincere dialogue with the DPRK.
