Multi-spindle, Multi-loom Tending Movement Mass-based

Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- A movement of manipulating many spindles and looms is getting mass-based in the textile industrial sector of the DPRK as part of the 70-day campaign to greet the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with unprecedented labor achievements.

It is a collective innovation movement, which started in the period of the great Chollima upswing under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

Through the movement, tens of workers at textile mills under the Ministry of Light Industry already fulfilled their national economic plan for the first half of this year and hundreds hit their quotas for the first quarter.

At the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill, in particular, two workers carried out their daily quota more than 500 percent on the first day of the 70-day campaign and nearly 30 workers carried out their plan for the first half of the year.

Such increased production has been witnessed at the September Textile Mill, Hamhung Woolen Mill, and Kusong, Sakju and Hwangju textile mills.
