Halt to U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises Demanded

Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- The South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held a press conference in Seoul on March 7 to denounce the U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers for kicking off the provocative joint military exercises against the north, according to Thongil News, an internet paper of south Korea.

At the press conference the organization accused the south Korean and U.S. forces of repeatedly announcing their plans to scatter leaflets in the areas of the north along the Military Demarcation Line during the drills while vociferating about a preemptive strike at the north, "beheading operation" aimed to strike the headquarters of the north and "drill for advancing toward Pyongyang".

It demanded the authorities stop at once the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military exercises and roll back the policy for escalating the confrontation with the compatriots in the north.
