Irina Malenko, chairwoman of the Ireland-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairwoman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events for praising the revolutionary careers and feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and to conduct brisk activities for supporting the Korean people in their just struggle for building a thriving nation and reunifying the country.
