Stop to Joint Military Exercises Demanded

Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- 29 civic and public organizations in North Jolla Province of south Korea including the North Jolla Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and the North Jolla Provincial Headquarters of the Confederation of Trade Unions held a press conference outside the provincial office on March 7 in denunciation of the U.S. and puppet warmongers' war drills against the north.

At the press conference speakers said that the largest-ever Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military drills are being staged pursuant to OPLAN 5015 that includes a scenario for mounting a preemptive attack on the north and even "bringing down its social system."

Moreover, the on-going saber-rattling will offer Japan a pretext and an opportunity for staging a comeback to Korea, they noted.

They demanded the U.S. and the south Korean authorities immediately stop the joint military drills threatening the lives of the Koreans.
