Those factories under the Knitting Industry Management Bureau of the Ministry of Light Industry have striven to develop new products based on local raw materials and improve the quality of products with a competitive edge through the 70-day campaign.

Songyo and Hamhung knitwear factories compete with each other to produce men's T-shirt and thermal underwear for men and women as famous goods, while concentrating efforts on the development of new products.

Other knitwear factories in different parts of the country, too, turned out in a movement to develop new and quality products representing their units.

Such emulation movement helped the Bureau carry out its daily production plan at 120 percent.

According to an official concerned, more than 50 kinds of new products have been recently developed into production and famous goods are steadily increasing in number.
