This well-known cooperative has turned out scores of kinds of grass crafts for 50-odd years, and its products such as slippers, basket, cushion, screen and hat made with sedge are very popular among people.

The warm-keeping cushion, made with corn husk and wormwood, is efficacious for arthritis and piles.

The products of the cooperative won a high appraisal at national exhibitions and some of them were presented to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

In November 2009, leader Kim Jong Il gave a high appreciation of them, saying that a sedge-made hat is nice and it is admirable that the Cooperative has developed farm products and other waste materials into goods conducive to the improvement of people's livelihood.

Cha Hwa Suk, chairwoman of the management board of the Cooperative, told KCNA that the Cooperative's goal was to turn all its products into world-famous ones through introduction of new technology.
