The statement said:

The DPRK's satellite launch is definitely aimed at development of economy, science and technology of the country.

However, the U.S., Japan, south Korea and other hostile forces blame this, escalating confrontation with the DPRK.

Japan accuses the DPRK of its satellite launch and is ratcheting up the suppression of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and Koreans in Japan.

All these are an insult to the international community and violation of international law.

We demand Japan abandon its hostile policy towards the DPRK, especially stop the suppression of Koreans in Japan and respect international law.

We urge the imperialist forces to stop their foolish act of pulling up a sovereign state over its right to use space for peaceful purposes.
