Candlelight Action Protests against War Drills in S. Korea

Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News, organizations of different circles in south Korea held a candlelight rally in Seoul on March 11, demanding a stop to frantic war drills kicked off by the U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers. They included the People's Action for Peace against War, the preparatory committee of the Solidarity for Peace against War and the Workers' Solidarity.

At the rally the speakers said that the Ssangyong drill being staged in Phohang is not a mere landing drill but a military rehearsal aimed at "occupying Pyongyang."

They protested against the war exercises aimed to mount a preemptive attack on the north.

They declared that they would gather in Phohang on March 12 when the Ssangyong drill is supposed to reach its height to stage an action against the saber-rattling.
