The statement said:

Their joint military exercises pushed the Korean peninsula into an appalling situation in which a war may break out any time.

The DPRK's H-bomb test was the measure for self-defense to protect its sovereignty and national right to existence from the hostile forces' growing nuclear threat, and its launch of satellite is the exercise of a legitimate right granted by international law to other countries.

Nevertheless, the U.S. and south Korean authorities, not content with finding faults with the DPRK's H-bomb test and satellite launch, are staging the dangerous war rehearsals, a very grave military provocation which pushes the Korean peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war.

The People's Progressive Party of Nigeria strongly censures saber-rattling and presses for an immediate halt to it.
