Jaroslav Kafka, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give publicity to the revolutionary careers and feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and signal successes made by the Korean people under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, and organize colorful political and cultural events on the occasion of the meeting.
