Swiss Organizations Urge U.S. to Lift Anti-DPRK Sanctions

Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on March 6 in support of the statements made by spokesmen for the government and the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK.

The statement said:

The DPRK's access to nuclear weapons was an inevitable option made by it to cope with the U.S. ever-increasing nuclear threat to it.

The "sanctions resolution" against the DPRK, a sovereign state, is aimed to bring down its social system, denying its right to existence.

However, it is a wrong thought that the sanctions can work on the DPRK.

Nothing can bar the DPRK from emerging as a further developed science powerhouse. This is unequivocal.

We fully support the statements made by spokesmen for the DPRK government and Foreign Ministry.
