Though science and technology should serve for the well-being of mankind, the imperialists are becoming all the more desperate in blockading others to have exclusive possession of science and technology.

Their ulterior intention is to realize their ambition for domination with ease.

The present situation teaches a serious lesson that it will not be possible to get freed from domination and plunder by the imperialists nor to bolster the military and economic capabilities nor to protect the sovereignty and interests of the country and the nation unless science and technology are developed.

Development of science and technology is the way of becoming a power.

No one offers the latest science and technology.

To rely on one's own strength and wisdom will only guarantee independent development and prosperity of the country against the imperialists' blockade aimed to monopolize science and technology.

It is the steadfast will of the Workers' Party of Korea to further cement the foundation of socialism and advance it by dint of science.
