U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Drills Denounced in Indonesia

Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- The Pioneer Party of Indonesia, Founding Committee of the Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia, Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange and Bungkarno University of Indonesia in a joint statement on March 9 denounced the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers for their joint military drills targeting the DPRK.

The statement said that the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 are the largest-ever nuclear war drills involving huge troops and war hardware.

It went on:

The DPRK clarified its principled stand to resolutely counter the joint military drills with a more preemptive and offensive nuclear strike now that the war drumbeats are regarded as the most undisguised nuclear war provocation against it.

It is a sovereign state's due right to self-defence that the DPRK has bolstered up its nuclear force to cope with the U.S. ever-escalating nuclear threat and blackmail against it.

We, who set store by peace and justice, condemn the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises as a grave provocation harassing peace on the Korean peninsula and in the rest of the world and strongly urge them to stop the criminal nuclear war drills at once.
