The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia said in a statement titled "Hands off Korea!" that to hype "threat" from the DPRK cannot be viewed otherwise than an attempt to put pressure on the country pursuing independent foreign policy.

The Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation noted in a statement:

The U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises have been kicked up every year but the on-going drills are unprecedented in their aggressive nature.

Therefore, the danger of a catastrophic nuclear war is escalating extremely on the Korean peninsula.

We appeal to the Russian people to show stronger solidarity with the Korean people struggling for defending the country's sovereignty and right to existence and achieving national reunification.
