"Sanctions Resolution" against DPRK Slammed by Nigerian Organization

Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism posted on a website an article titled "'Sanctions resolution' can by no means be justified" on March 6. The article said that the U.S. pressed the UN Security Council to cook up another harsh "sanctions resolution" against the DPRK, pulling up it over its H-bomb test and satellite launch for peaceful purposes. It went on: The DPRK had access to nuclear weapons to cope with the hostile acts and persistent nuclear threat of the U.S., the world biggest nuclear weapons state. As for the satellite launch, it is the legitimate right of a sovereign state. The UNSC is not entitled to deprive a UN member state of its right to use space for peaceful purposes which is specified in international law. In case the DPRK's satellite launch is faulted, it is necessary to find fault with all the satellite launchers including the U.S. The U.S. is to blame for the rupture of the denuclearization on the Korean peninsula as it has refused to roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK. |
