DPRK Women Footballers Win Title of Int'l Soccer Matches

| Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- The DPRK team won the title of 2016 U-19 International Women's Soccer "Spring of Kuban" which was held in Sochi, Russia from March 10 to 19. The matches brought together 8 teams from the DPRK, Russia, Iran, Romania and other countries and regions. The DPRK team trounced the Krasnodar territorial team and Siberia team of Russia, Estonian team 4:0, 5:1 and 6:0 in group league matches. It beat its Romanian rival 2:0 in the semi-final. The DPRK team won the title by defeating its Russian rival 2:0 in the final on March 19. |
