Japanese Bodies, Personages Demand Government Lift Independent Sanctions against DPRK
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Voices critical of the independent sanctions imposed by the Japanese authorities against the DPRK are mounting higher within Japan.

The Gunma Prefectural Society for Solidarity with the Korean Women in a letter of protest sent to Prime Minister Abe demanded the government lift at once the independent sanctions it applied against the DPRK over its launch of earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 as it is unreasonable one escalating tensions in the region and dampening the desire of the people for peace.

The executive chairman of the Kinki Regional Headquarters of the All-Japan Construction and Transport Solidarity Trade Union branded the government's measure for independent sanctions as a mean act of advocating the story about "threat from the DPRK", promoting the building of a triangular military alliance among the U.S., Japan and south Korea and stifling the DPRK's economy.

Osaka co-representatives of the Citizens Solidarity Demanding Earlier Normalization of the Relations between Japan and the DPRK said it is quite natural that the DPRK dissolved the "special investigation committee", affirming that the honest implementation of the Japan-DPRK Pyongyang Declaration and Stockholm agreement is the only way of solving the issue.

The executive chairman of the Kansai Region of the All-Japan Harbor Trade Union said that it is necessary for the government to make efforts for the conclusion of the DPRK-U.S. peace treaty and stop propagating the fiction about "threat from the DPRK" among the people.

The Shigoku Liaison Society for Japan-Korea Friendship urged the government to drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK and resume the talks for normalizing diplomatic relations with the DPRK.
