The chief of the Milano Center for the Study of the Juche Idea who doubles as representative of the Italian Branch of the Korean Friendship Association was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from March 16 to April 17 and decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung and organize various political and cultural events such as a celebration, seminar and book and photo exhibition in the period.
