The chairman of the Central Committee, the director of the International Department of the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party and other speakers said that the DPRK's H-bomb test is a due self-defensive measure taken to protect the country's sovereignty and nation's right to existence from the ever-increasing nuclear threat of the U.S.

Labeling the joint military rehearsals kicked off by the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces as an obvious crime, they strongly urged them to immediately halt the drills. They went on:

The present world situation, where power and strong-arm acts rule the roost and even big powers surrendered to the U.S. high-handed practices, threat and blackmail, goes to prove how just the DPRK was when it was determined to become a nuclear weapons state under the unfurled banner of Songun.

Many foreign countries and peoples that set store by justice, progress and peace are admiring and supporting socialist Korea which has undauntedly fought against the U.S. imperialists.

The speakers expressed the belief that the Korean people would surely win a greater victory in the anti-U.S. struggle and the building of a thriving nation under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
