The statement said:

The danger of a nuclear war is daily increasing on the Korean peninsula due to the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16.

The DPRK made clear its principled stand to go into just operations to preemptively strike the enemy if any slight sign of their moves is spotted.

The DPRK had access to its nuclear deterrent to cope with the U.S. hostile policy and ever-increasing nuclear threat.

This is a due measure taken by a sovereign state for self-defence.

As known to the world, the Korean people hold their leader as the sun in high esteem and have built a politico-ideological and military power, rallied close around him.

It cannot but be a risk-taking and dangerous move that the U.S. and south Korea seek to ignite a nuclear war, insulting and threatening these people.

We demand an immediate stop to the nuclear war drills, terming them a grave provocation to disturb peace on the peninsula and in the rest of the world.
