Struggle of WPK and Korean People Supported by World Political Parties
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The 20th seminar of the world political parties on building a new society took place in Mexico from March 10 to 12.

Adopted at the seminar was a document calling for extending positive support to the struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the Korean people.

The document said:

We express full support and solidarity with the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle for defending the country's sovereignty, ensuring peace and reunifying the country independently and peacefully.

Firstly, we highly appreciate the signal successes being registered by the WPK and the Korean people in building a thriving nation under the uplifted banner of independence, Songun and socialism under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK.

Secondly, we support all the proposals and efforts made by the WPK and the DPRK government for reunifying the country in the idea of By Our Nation Itself, preventing the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and ensuring regional peace and security, and urge the U.S. to roll back its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK and respond to the DPRK's proposals for concluding a peace treaty as early as possible.

Thirdly, we warmly congratulate the WPK upon its 7th Congress to be held in Pyongyang in May and appeal to the world progressive political parties and organizations to conduct more dynamic international solidarity movement for supporting the just cause of the WPK and the Korean people with the congress as a momentum.

Among the participants of the seminar were Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico, and other members of the leadership of his party, delegates of its affiliated organizations, delegations and delegates of over 130 political parties and organizations from more than 40 countries including the DPRK, Russia, China and Vietnam, 700 odd in all.
