Japanese Government Accused of Pressurizing Distortion of History
|
|
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The Japanese Asahi Shimbun on March 19 disclosed the fact that the Japanese government put pressure on drastically rewriting textbooks for high schools during the screening of textbooks. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan was reported to send 206 instructions to rewrite the textbooks applied by a publishing house for screening. It forced the publishing house to rewrite that the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army was legally settled while pressurizing it to completely change the description about the Nanjing massacre. An official concerned of a publishing house denounced the Abe regime for pressurizing it to reflect the view of the government on history. The Japanese government should bear in mind that truth can never be covered up no matter how desperately it may work to distort history, prompted by a sinister political purpose. |
