S. Korean Organizations Denounce U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations of of south Korea including the People's Action for Peace against War and students' organizations held a rally in Seoul on March 19 to denounce the joint military exercises by the U.S. and its stooges.

Speakers at the rally disclosed that Ssangyong drill conducted in Phohang on March 12 was one under an operation plan to "advance into Pyongyang" after landing in the region of the north to "remove the WMDs" and carry out the "beheading operation".

Saying that the only way of putting the present situation under control is to implement the June 15 joint declaration, they demanded a stop to the joint military maneuvers.
