The chairman stated:

The Korean nation has been exposed to the constant danger of a war due to the outside forces hell-bent on the moves for aggression against the DPRK after splitting the Korean peninsula.

The joint military drills being spearheaded by the U.S. across south Korea are very dangerous as they are driving the situation on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity to the brink of a war.

We urge the U.S. to drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK, immediately stop the joint military drills with south Korea and respond to the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty in order to ensure world peace and security.
