Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, chairwoman of the Founding Committee of the Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia, and Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, were respectively elected chairwoman and general secretary of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize various political and cultural events to praise the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the meeting.
