Francis F. Lyimo, chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold significant political and cultural events for praising the sacred revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and conduct positive solidarity activities to support the Korean people in their struggle for the country's prosperity with the above-said meeting as a momentum.
