Present at the meeting were members of the Olympic Committee and officials of the sports field and relevant units.

The general meeting reviewed the work of the committee in Juche 104 (2015) and discussed on the orientation of the work in Juche 105 (2016).

Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports and chairman of the DPRK Olympic Committee, made a report which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that supreme leader Kim Jong Un provided the Seventh National Conference of Sportspeople last year and sent the participants a letter, the important guidelines for stepping up the building of a sporting powerhouse.

They said that sportspersons of the DPRK displayed the honor of the motherland in various international games, instilling the revolutionary enthusiasm into all the service personnel and people and making great contributions to glorifying the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) as a grand festival of victors.

The general meeting discussed the matters of implementing the tasks set forth in the letter of Kim Jong Un and bringing about a revolutionary turn in the sports of the country this year when the Seventh Congress of the WPK is to be held.
