National Martial Art Championship for Mangyongdae Prize Opens

Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- The National Martial Art Championship for Mangyongdae Prize opened with due ceremony at the Basketball Gymnasium in Pyongyang on Wednesday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

It brought together more than 600 men and women players selected from 24 organizations including Taekwon-Do teams. They will compete in Taekwon-Do, go and other events at the Holy Taekwon-Do Hall.

Present at the ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae, Ro Tu Chol, officials concerned, players, coaches and working people in the city.

After the opening ceremony there were demonstrations by the players of the Taekwon-Do team of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee.
