Plate Feed Chute Installed at Unryul Mine of DPRK
Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The Unryul Mine, a leading iron ore producer in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, has recently installed a plate feed chute for the 2,200-hp stripping equipment to remove earth.

The installation of the feed chute made it possible to raise the stripping handling capability five times while saving 570,000 kwh of electricity annually as well as much manpower, fuel and tires.

Kang Kil Yong, manager of the mine, told KCNA that all its employees keenly realized through the manufacturing of feed chute by their own efforts that the spirit of self-development is what keeps them alive.

The long-distance belt conveyor for earth-scrapping at the mine was built in June Juche 64 (1975) on the initiative of leader Kim Jong Il.
